Job Description
Responsibilities:
+ Prepare 15-17 bank reconciliations monthly between FAMIS and local bank accounts to include preparing excel spreadsheets daily to support the bank reconciliation process. Reconcile accounts during the month include Petty Cash Account, Operating Account, Development Office Lock Box Account, Depository Account (ACH and Wires), Payroll, Accounts Payable, and additional accounts.
+ Prepare 30-35 bank reconciliations monthly between FAMIS and USAS (state appropriations) to include preparing excel spreadsheets daily to support the bank reconciliation process. Reconcile accounts during the month include E&G State Support , Higher Ed Assistance Fund (HEAF), OASI Matching, HEAF 3-Way, License Plate Scholarship 3-Way, Work Study Mentorship 3-Way and additional accounts.
+ Download reports for local bank activity and prepare entries to include: American Express Monthly Statements, Discover Monthly Statements, Chase Paymentech Monthly Statements, Campus Partners Cash Activity Reports, Campus Partners Accounting Report, and CANOPY Reports.
+ Perform various banking functions to include stopping payments, wire transfers and verification of positive pay. Responsible for answering disputes on credit cards and ACH.
+ Reconcile with daily cash deposits.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to include submitting Unclaimed Property on an annual basis.
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Four (4) years experience in accounting related field.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of account reconciliation functions.
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to provide excellent customer service. Strong organizational and detail oriented skills.
+ Ability to operate general office equipment such as copiers, calculators, fax machines, and personal computers.?
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate s Degree in Accounting.
+ Experience in a University setting.
+ Familiarity with FAMIS, USAS and Laserfiche.
