*Corpus Christi Medical Center*is currently looking for a*Coordinator - Graduate Medical Education (GME).*
* Manage writing, updating, and distribution of all residency and fellowship manuals, resident contracts, institution and program polices correspondence, brochures, and other printed materials of the department.
* Assist the Director of Medical Education(DME) and all program Directors in maintaining American Osteopathic Association (AOA) institutional and program accreditation. Assist with Crosswalk preparation, curricular changes, and site visits for all programs; Serve as primary contact for all needed associations; Assist in coordinate institution s involvement in the AOA intern/Resident Registration Program and the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).
* Coordinate and participate in administrative and other aspects of residency recruiting, including serving as the primary contact person between applicants and program, serve as program hostess and prepare for and oversee rank meetings and list preparation and submission; provides administrative support to the DME, Program Directors, residents, and students; acts as liaison between programs and outside agencies as requested
* Assists with the resident rotation schedule and coordinate rotation schedules with community physician who serves as attending physicians to set the schedule; Maintains three year rotation schedule for each resident to ensure all Accreditation and Specialty Board requirements are met for graduation; prepares and distributes, and updates all schedules for faculty, residents, and students, including attending physician, preceptors, and clinic & call schedules; prepares and distribute the monthly academic calendar
* Coordinate and prepare institution related correspondence; meet information requests received by various sources including but not limited to Texas Higher Education Coordination Board, AOA, American College of Osteopathic Internists(ACOI), American College of Family Physicians (ACOFP), and the Texas OPTI
* Organize new and annual resident orientation; maintain educational files, including evaluations, conference attendance, and timesheets on residents. Prepares and distribute resident s information such as address, pager numbers, license numbers, etc.; process leave of absence requests; proctors in-training and in-service examinations; Prepares and maintains affiliation agreements and business associate agreements for all educational sites; Assists with travel arrangements and preparation of expense accounting for payment and reimbursement; prepares loan deferments for all residents including deferment letters
* Attends as requested institutional, state, and national meetings; Oversees with faculty recruiting and interviews; Assists with professional recruitment and faculty appointment applications; attends hospital days for recruitment;
* Responsible for maintaining and updating all programs website content; performs surveys, create questionnaires and tabulates results on an as needed basis; maintains and monitors all the Graduate Medical Education databases; coordinates licensure process for all Residents; Maintain files on AOA approval of each program; organize end-of-year ceremonies
* Organizes all department meetings including report preparation; Coordinates all Texas OPTI activities
* Assists the DME and Program Directors in providing information required by Corpus Christi Medical Center to meet Joint Commission requirements; works with Public Relations Department for all advertisement and program s brochure
* Orders department supplies and maintains proper inventory; other duties as requested
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* Previous administrative office work experience in graduate medical education preferred
* Strong knowledge of of APA, ACOI and ACOFP
