Job Description Job Purpose: The ideal candidate will have an ability to manage the daily operations of the retail store and complete tasks related to inventory tracking, marketing and customer service. They should be a confident salesperson and be able to share their best practices in order to onboard new employees. This candidate should also possess strong leadership skills and be able to assign duties to relevant employees in order to maintain the function of the store. Duties: * Accomplishes information systems human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures. * Meets information systems operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, security, and customer-service standards; resolving problems. * Maintains information systems operations by reviewing previous shift production; arranging schedules; monitoring production; resolving problems; bringing operations back on line; calling for resources as required. * Maintains continuity of operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. * Direct employees in daily operations such as serving customers, inventory taking, reconciling cash and managing in store marketing * Improves information systems quantity and quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. * Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Responsibilities: * Manage daily operations of business and ensure sales goals are met * Assigns duties to relevant employees * Conduct hiring and onboarding of new employees * Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations * Track and manage inventory at store Qualifications 3 - 5 years of retail and retail management experience Demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson Strong customer service, management and communication skills Company Description An Ace Hardware Store company with 3 locations on the warm South Texas Gulf Islands currently with openings in the Port Aransas, North Padre Island (Corpus Christi) and South Padre Island.
